West End Hosts Annual Saint Patrick’s Day Celebration.

The event offered Irish themed dishes all day, including Shepards Pie, Irish Stew, and Rueben Sandwiches.

West End hosts a Saint Patrick’s Day event every year, along with events throughout the year to celebrate different holidays and embrace cuisine from other cultures.

Virginia Tech Wind Ensemble multimedia performance of children’s Story

The Virginia Tech Wind Ensemble is set to perform “Wild Symphony” by Dan Brown on March 2 at the Moss Arts Center, featuring music, narration, and interactive pre-concert activities. CVS Special Delivery: Blacksburg Police Delivers Baby in the Car

A Blacksburg mother had an unexpected delivery in their local CVS parking lot after going into labor faster than anticipated. On their way to the hospital, the Hamdens realized they wouldn’t make it in time and pulled over. Luckily, Officer Hayes of the Blacksburg Police Department was nearby and stepped in to successfully deliver the baby before paramedics could arrive.

Emergency responders arrived shortly after to provide medical care, ensuring stability before transporting them to a nearby hospital. Thanks to Hayes’ quick actions, the delivery went smoothly, and both mother and baby are in good health following the unexpected birth!

Dogs are helping the mental health industry daily

Humans rely on their pets more often then not, they rely on the comfort, the guarantee, and the emotional support dogs can give them daily. We sat down with two dog experts to find out a little more about both the mental and physical aspects dogs can have on humans’ mental health and well-being.
