Virginia Tech football has had a winning season thus far. The Hokies are 4 and 3 out of the games they’ve played. While the Hokies have won more games than they have lost, two of those losses hit hard. This season the Hokies lost to Old Dominion University and Notre Dame, both of whom Virginia Tech beat last time the teams played.

Every year around Thanksgiving, the Virginia Tech Hokies take on the University of Virginia Cavaliers in the Commonwealth Cup. The Hokies have won the competition the past 14 years, but after two huge losses this season, fans aren’t so sure this year will be a grand slam. Fans are worrisome not only because of the losses this season but also because of ACC rankings.

According to recent ESPN and AP poll rankings, in the college football playoff rankings for Week 10, UVA is ranked #25. In the AP top 25, UVA is ranked #23. Virginia Tech isn’t ranked at all.
